Seasoned in log form for at least 12 months before being processed, this wood is rain wet and requires several weeks drying time before burning. With our seasoned wood for best results stack away in a well ventilated area to complete drying for next winters burning. A far cheaper way to buy your wood and have the same good quality dry wood that we sell from our own shed.
Description
Macrocarpa is a medium density softwood which is clean burning with great heat output and has a reasonably long burning time. It is easier to ignite than Gum, longer burning than Pine and is easy to split so great for kindling. Macrocarpa does tend to spark and pop so for this reason is not recommended for use in open fires.
