Description
Lusitanica Cypress is closely related to Macrocarpa and has similar burning properties making it ideal for firewood.
Like Macrocarpa, Lusitanica is a medium density softwood which is clean burning with great heat output and has a reasonably long burning time. It is easier to ignite than Gum, longer burning than Pine and is easy to split so great for kindling.
Cypress does tend to spark and pop so for this reason is not recommended for use in open fires.
