Seasoned in log form for at least 12 months before being processed, this wood is rain wet and requires several weeks drying time before burning. With our seasoned wood for best results stack away into a well ventilated area to complete drying for next winters burning. A far cheaper way to buy your wood and have the same good quality dry wood that we sell from our own shed.
Gum is a hardwood and therefore is clean and slow burning with maximum heat output. Gum can be difficult to start the fire with so a soft wood or kindling to get the fire going is recommended such as Pine or Macrocarpa. Gum is suited to both open fires and log burners.
